Berlin: On the last weekend of August, the Vegan Summer Festival Berlin will transform Alexanderplatz into a celebration of plant-based delicacies. Taking place from 24 to 26 August, the Vegan Summer Festival will feature an extensive range of vegan and vegetarian foods. More than 100 stands will be offering plant-based dishes from around the world with a focus on raw and organic food, as well as animal-free cosmetics and vegan shoes, accessories, and clothing.
Visitors to the festival can educate themselves, indulge in delicious vegan foods, and enjoy a varied programme of inspiring events. More than 65,000 visitors are expected this year, and admission is free.
Highlights: Cooking shows and live music
Cooking shows, live music, and stage performances will take place on the festival stage throughout the weekend. A new addition this year is the Vegan Summer Lounge, where visitors can enjoy fresh drinks and great music in a relaxing atmosphere. There will also be a fashion show featuring sustainable vegan fashion trends, with the garments available for purchase after the show, either directly from participating exhibitors or from online stores. There will also be a raffle featuring attractive veggie prizes, as well as a special children’s programme to entertain younger guests.
Information about the plant-based lifestyle
Tips and facts about veggie topics will be available to visitors in the information tent. The programme will offer exciting and informative suggestions for experienced vegans and vegetarians, as well as for newcomers to the veggie scene. Visitors can find out about the great work done by numerous charitable initiatives and associations at the information booths.
