Baseball season is in full swing, and that means it’s time for PETA’s ranking of the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Major League Ballparks. And there’s surprising news for Phillies fans: Citizens Bank Park has grabbed the number two spot in the nation, locking in one of the top positions for the eighth year running.

“Citizens Bank Park’s delicious faux-chicken patties and veggie chili make it an all-star for vegetarian and health-conscious Phillies fans,” says PETA Associate Director Ryan Huling. “This year’s competition was tighter than ever—proving that with more and more vegan options offered at stadiums across the country, baseball fans are, indeed, on the ball.”

Phillies’ faithful have a powerful lineup of meat-free options to choose from—and most of them are vegan. Hall of Fame–worthy choices include black-bean burgers, savory veggie dogs, fresh garden salads, vegan hoagies, hummus with pretzels, and apples with dip.

Citizens Bank Park has nabbed first place on PETA’s list six times in the last eight years, but the San Francisco Giants’ AT&T Park ousted it from the top spot this year, thanks in part to the Field Roast frankfurter and its portobello mushroom sandwich. Rounding out the top five are PNC Park (Pittsburgh Pirates), Citi Field (New York Mets), and Nationals Park (Washington Nationals).

PETA also ranked AAA minor league teams. Leading the pack is the Omaha Storm Chasers’ Werner Park, where fans can chow down on black-bean burgers (vegans, hold the cheese), a hearty tofu hot dog, and the Philly Cheese Phake with beef-free and chicken-free strips (vegans, hold the cheese).

The Phillies will receive a framed certificate from PETA. To view the complete rankings, please see PETA’s major league and minor league blog posts.
