PETA’s First-Ever Vegan Fashion Shop-Up

Los Angeles – The hottest pop-up retail event of the summer is coming to Echo Park: It’s PETA’s first-ever Vegan Fashion Shop-Up. Admission is completely free, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet and shop from dozens of cruelty-free designers.

Those are taking the fashion world by storm, including PETA’s 2014 Most Influential Designer, Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart—the first all-vegan designer to show at New York Fashion Week—and Stephanie Nicora, who was named PETA’s 2014 Most Talented New Designer:

What: Vegan Fashion Shop-Up, hosted by PETA
Where: The rooftop deck of PETA’s Bob Barker Building, 2154 W. Sunset Blvd. (near the intersection with Rosemont Avenue), Los Angeles
When: Saturday, August 23, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

Freedom of Animals—the eco-friendly handbag line beloved by celebrities such as Kerry Washington and Sarah Jessica Parker—is providing a special-edition PETA handbag for the event’s raffle. Other prizes include Gabriela Artigas jewelry, a GUNAS handbag, and a limited-edition VAUTEdress.

Other designers and retailers in attendance will include Sydney Brown, Nicora Johns, and Cri de Coeur, and select brands will offer up to a 20 percentdiscount for the day. Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase delicious jackfruit tacos from vegan food vendor Plant Food for People.
